I, Rozina Khan, silk paint artist & instructor hold a Master's degree in fine arts from Punjab University, Pakistan. Currently, I am working as an art & craft teacher and course instructor of Dino Art (International Art Programme) in an art institute in Abu Dhabi since February, 2010. I started silk painting in 2007. It is my aim , passion and destiny.
The explosion of brilliant colors as the dyes spread over the silk is heart touching and pleasurable for me. Although I love all techniques of silk painting, my preoccupation is to create a hybrid of various techniques including silk painting, batik and block printing on a one panel. This is something i have previously worked on and intend to continue. All my work is individually hand drawn and hand painted.
I am always inspired by the colours of sunset, sunrise and shining sunlight. The fusion of sea, sky effects, mood, colour and variety can be witnessed in my work. Culture and traditions, Islamic patterns and motifs, geometrical designs, antiques, jharokas and autumn leaves are my favourite subjects and themes to work with.
I want to share my work experience, talent and art skills with others who wish to join my silk painting classes and work shops. I travel and teach, taking both individual as well as group classes.
